The largest climbing hall on the Balkans opened in Sofia

The new Balkan Climbing Hall in Sofia will start receiving visitors on Thursday (29 February). The hall, which has more than 3,000 square meters of climbing space, is the largest in the Balkans.

The facility has indoor and outdoor climbing rope walls with an area of 2,000 sqm and the walls are between 8 and 17 metres high and offer over 300 different routes.

Balkan Climbing also has a dedicated bouldering area with 730 sqm of climbing area and 240 bouldering problems. It also includes Moonboard, Kilterboard, Threadwall and Campus board.

There are also 40 outriggers, a device that allows you to climb safely without a partner.

There's fun in the gym for the youngest visitors too. The children's area is nearly 250 square meters and there are 2 slides, and Balkan Climbing accepts all children over 3 years old.

The facility also has a speed wall that meets IFSC standards, a separate fitness area with modern equipment, as well as a bar and restaurant.
