Traveling to and from Sofia is becoming even more convenient for European tourists. Two new flight routes are launching soon, connecting Bulgaria’s capital directly to neighboring capitals in the region.

Romanian airline AnimaWings will begin operating direct flights between Bucharest and Sofia’s Vasil Levski Airport for the first time. Starting October 1, 2025, flights will run five times a week—on weekdays (Monday through Friday)—making it easier than ever to explore both cities in one trip.

In addition, Wizz Air is opening a new route from Warsaw-Modlin Airport in Poland to Sofia. Regular service will begin on December 15, 2025, with four flights per week—every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

These new connections provide greater flexibility and open up exciting travel opportunities for visitors interested in discovering more of Central and Eastern Europe.
